Scientific Investigators

Explore the cases, people and places behind The Gideon Locke Mysteries, a series of atmospheric Victorian detective novels by Alexander Peach, following scientific investigator Gideon Locke and Eve Archer through murder, conspiracy and the hidden corners of 1860s London.

From the fog-bound docks of Wapping to the grand houses and darker institutions of the capital, each novel presents a new standalone investigation while continuing the characters and stories that connect the series.
